How to make Classic Gingerbread Man Cookies

  Combine flour, ginger, cinnamon, and salt in a Bowl, and set aside.

  In a large Bowl, cream shortening & sugar until smooth. Mix in egg, molasses, and baking soda dissolved in 1 ½ Teaspoons of warm water. (Stir until combined).

  Mix in your dry ingredients until well blended! Shape dough into a disk, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate overnight.

  Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, grease Cookie Sheets or line with Parchment Paper, lightly flour a work surface and roll out dough ¼ inch thick. Cut out gingerbread men using cookie cutters and place 2 inches apart. Use raisins to make eyes, noses & buttons, and bake until firm (10-12 minutes). Let cool on Wire Racks - and voila!
