How to make Viva's Best Italian Meatballs
01 Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C)
02 Spraying a Baking Sheet with cooking spray then cover it up with foil.
03 Soak the bread crumbs in milk for 20 minutes in a small Bowl.
04 In a Skillet, over medium heat, heat up some olive oil and stir in the onion. Cook and stir until the onion has softened and turned translucent – (about 5 minutes.)
05 Reduce heat to low and continue cooking for about 15 minutes until the onion is nice and tender. In a large Bowl, gently stir together the beef and pork.
06 Add the onions, the bread crumb mixture, eggs, parsley, garlic, salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, Italian herb seasoning, and Parmesan cheese. Stir it all together with a Rubber Spatula.
07 After the hour has gone by, use wet hands to form the meat mixture into 1 ½ inch diameter balls and place them on the prepared Baking Sheet.
08 Pop the meatballs in the preheated oven and bake until they are browned and cooked through – ( about 15 to 20 minutes). Voila – delicious Italian meatballs!
